Orlando Bloom Named Porsche Design Ambassador for Timepieces & Eyewear
Hollywood Icon Meets Luxury Performance
Orlando Bloom has officially joined Porsche Design as its newest Brand Ambassador, representing the brand’s Timepiece and Eyewear collections. Known for his roles in Pirates of the Caribbean and The Lord of the Rings, Bloom is also a longtime Porsche enthusiast, making this partnership a natural fit.
The exclusive campaign features Bloom alongside a Porsche 911, wearing the Porsche Design Chronograph 1 and select sunglasses and prescription eyewear.

A Timeless Watch Inspired by the Porsche 911
Leading the campaign is the Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – All Black Numbered Edition, a modern take on the legendary 1972 Chronograph I, designed by F. A. Porsche.
The first all-black chronograph, originally inspired by the dashboard of the Porsche 911, was a game-changer in luxury watchmaking. Re-engineered in 2022 by Porsche Design’s Swiss watchmaking division, the timepiece remains an icon of precision and automotive-inspired style.
Elevated Eyewear with a Racing Heritage
The Porsche Design P’8478 sunglasses, another star of the campaign, were designed in 1978 by F. A. Porsche and became the first sunglasses to feature an interchangeable lens system.
Crafted from lightweight titanium with scratch-resistant polycarbonate lenses, the P’8478 blends functionality with Porsche’s signature sleek design, making it a perfect fit for Bloom’s modern, performance-driven aesthetic.
